I would like you to know that I believe that global climate change does exist. I believe that we should be dealing with it for the right reasons not the wrong reasons.
Climate variation has always occurred and always will. Citizens are right to be concerned about the possibly damaging effects of both the warmings and coolings which lie ahead. As with most potential natural disasters, however, the appropriate action is to have in place reactive response plans to manage the change when it occurs.
Dangerous climate extremes will not be prevented by reducing human carbon dioxide emissions, but – as they occur - should be adapted to using similar response strategies to those applied to other dangerous natural events such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunami and sea-level change.
Attempting to "stop climate change", or, in the present state of our knowledge and technology, even to modify it, is an arcadian fantasy.
Glacial ice cores have the unique capability of yielding measurements of ancient atmospheric chemistry from air samples that are captured as bubbles within the ice. It transpires that inferred changes in past temperature and atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration in such cores occur in close parallelism. In detail, however, the changes in temperature precede their parallel changes in carbon dioxide by between ~800 and 2000 years9. Thus carbon dioxide cannot be the primary forcing agent for temperature change at the glacial-interglacial scale.

For the right reasons, we have installed 29,000L carrying capacity of rain water on our property which is used for the entire house and garden. We have a Solar Hart hot water service, fluorescent and low voltage lights, worm farm and take recycling very seriously, we also run both our cars on E10 95 octane, AU series 3 Falcon wagon, Lismore to Hornsby usually on one tank of petrol. That should be more than enough evidence that we care and do probably more than the average person.
If I only listened to the papers and Al Gore, I would be in panic mode as well.
As I was leed to believe in the past that we are our worst enemy, it was pointed out to me that I should listen and evaluate the evidence from both sides concerning global warming.
This is where it becomes real interesting, it is hard to let in opinions that one does not believe if you do not step outside the box and look in.
Fortunately I do try to research, this is but a small number of web sites that has slowly changed my mind, happy reading.

The first site, I have only just begun to research as there are many, many pages of reading to go through and I do have other things to attend to as well.
With looking at a lot of information (scientific mainly) I came to the following conclusion.
1.Scientific records appear to show carbon levels more than likely follow temperature changes not drive it.
2.Global Warming exists.
3.Is not man made.
4.The human race is custodians of this planet and should be responsible for their own actions of sustainability for our existence and future of humans on this planet.
5.We are not responsible, nor can we change that which appears to be a natural climatic cycle.
6. We need to look at the history of the world way past the last 20 - 100 - 1,000 - 10,000 + years not just the last 10 years to get the bigger picture.
Whether you believe my conclusion or not, I don't care, all I care is that I looked at both sides as fairly as possible. Whether I change my mind again will depend on factual scientific evidence backed by historical scientific evidence, not scare mongers or scientific models that twigged, show theoretical outcomes.
